Become a Patient
What to Expect as a New Patient
Once your portal account is created and you’ve filled out the history forms, you will watch some videos BEFORE your New Patient Appointment such that you will come to your appointment:
- Knowing what to expect at your appointment,
- Knowing about your current conditions, and
- Knowing that cure from your condition(s) is literally days away!
At your appointment, the thorough Urogynecologic evaluation will help the doctors understand exactly what is going on and they will discuss this with you in detail during the debrief session at the conclusion of the examination. Most patients say: “This visit was amazing! I have never had such a thorough evaluation and an insightful discussion about my problem, until now!”

We run our office differently
We at Advanced Urogynecology of Michigan (AUGM) understand that sometimes you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment due to emergencies. Our goal is to provide quality medical care in a timely manner. In order to do so, we have had to implement an appointment/cancellation policy. The policy enables us to better utilize available appointments for our patients in need of medical care. We take pride in seeing our patients in a timely manner and do not like to keep them waiting.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify us as soon as possible. Appointment cancellation may delay the availability of your next appointment, and may result in a delay in your healthcare.
For cancellations or to reschedule your appointment, please call us at (313) 982-0228.
No-Show or Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to an administrative fee not to exceed $75.00 per our office policies and procedures.
**Please note that if you are more than 15 minutes PAST your scheduled time, your visit may be cancelled. This is so that we do not inconvenience the other patients who show up on time. Moreover, this will also be considered as a last minute cancellation and you may be charged a cancellation/late fee.

This is tremendous. It affects her ability to live a normal life. She is always thinking about the restroom. It affects her ability to function at work. At home, she is up all night and feels drowsy during the daytime. The pressure sensation never leaves her and is nagging and affects her mental state as despite going repeatedly to the doctor and getting “all those antibiotics”, her symptoms never improve. In the bedroom, it strains the marital relationships as sexual activity is very painful and if done, the next day, “she is paying the price” as she is literally living in the bathroom due to the aggravated frequency after sex.
