After menopause, due to lack of estrogen, atrophic changes result in symptoms such as: vaginal dryness, pain during sex, vaginal itching, urinary urgency, frequency and frequent bladder infections. If left untreated, these changes could progress into vaginal stenosis (narrowing) and pelvic floor muscle hypertonicity (spasm) that become hard to reverse back to normal.
MonaLisa Touch® is designed for postmenopausal women who are suffering from GSM. To learn whether you would qualify for the study, please call our office at 313-982-0200 and press prompt # 4 to speak to our MonaLisa team.
If you qualify for the study, there is no charge to you. Only 34 subjects are needed and enrollment will be on a first come first serve basis.
WHAT IS FPMRS?
FPMRS (Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery) is a unique field that addresses the entire female pelvic floor. It is neither Urology nor Gynecology. It is an American Board certified sub-specialty that addresses all conditions of the female pelvic floor.
WE FOCUS ON YOU
Every patient is unique even if the disease state may be similar. Our experience allows us to tailor the management to each individual patient in order to achieve her goals and desires. Technology coupled with science helps us offer an evidenced-based management approach.
Our minimally invasive management techniques are done either in an office or an outpatient setting. Rarely is hospitalization required. This allows our patients to return back to normal living expeditiously without skipping a beat. This is especially important as more and more women are working and time is precious.
